FRIDAY AHED DRESS
Please remember that AHED Dress Code requires shorts and skirts to be to the knee.  Tops must have a 3-inch strap and tank tops are not permitted.

SERVICE HOURS
Family and Student (Grades 7th – 12th) Service Hours are due May 15th.  If you have any questions about your service hours, please contact the office.  Reminder: Student records and transcripts will not be released until all accounts and service hours are completed.

ELEMENTARY FIELD DAY
Elementary Field Day will be Tuesday, May 23rd from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. We are in need of parent volunteers.  Please reply to this email if you can help.

ELEMENTARY TALENT SHOW
Elementary Talent Show will also be held on Tuesday, the 23rd, starting at 2:00 PM. Elementary students interested in participating need to have their performance approved on Tuesday, May 10th after school.  Sign-up sheet is across from the office.

Christmas Program – Our Christmas Program is Friday, December 9th, at 6:30 PM.  Boys need to wear black pants and red shirts.  Girls need to wear black pants or skirts and green shirts.  The students in the Black Light Performance will be given more information by Mrs. Fox.  An email was sent out today with more information.

Service Hours – We are in need of parents to help clean up after the Christmas Program. Please contact Mrs. Schloeman if you are able to help.  This is a great way to earn Service Hours.

Parent Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Thursday, the 27th, and Friday, the 28th.  We will dismiss at NOON on Thursday.  AFTERCARE WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE.  Please be sure to schedule a time with your student’s teacher to discuss his/her progress.   Parents of 7th-12th grade students who wish to speak with a teacher not on their conference team should send a note via email to the school office.

18 NORTH CENTRAL – 30 minutes of laser tag and 30 minutes of cybersports can be yours for only $15!  The Girls Basketball Team is selling tickets to raise money for new uniforms.  The event will be held Thursday, September 29th from 5 PM – 9 PM for anyone in grades 7 and up (Parents may play, too).  Contact a Girls Basketball Player or the office for more information or to purchase your ticket.  We receive 100 percent profit of the ticket purchase and 18 North Central will receive profits from their concession area so come hungry!
 
SOCCER – We are in great need of adults to help coach soccer.  If you are able to help on Monday and/or Tuesday, please reply to this email.  Your time will count towards Service Hours.

INFORMATION TO KNOW:
OPENINGS – We have an immediate opening for a maintenance/custodial position (> 30 hours). In addition, we still have a Secondary Science/Math position open. If you or know someone who is interested in either of these positions, please contact Mrs. Wilgus.
 
CURRICULA NIGHT DATE CHANGE – The Curricula Night for 7th – 12th Grade has been changed to Monday, August 29th.  This is a required event for 7th – 12th Grade Parents. 
 
SAVE THE DATE – The Annual Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, October 8th.  See the attached flyer for more info.
 
JACKETS – Jackets may be worn in class, but they need to have the LCA logo.  If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Wilgus.
 
FRIDAY AHED DRESS – On Fridays, students can pay $1 to “dress down.” The money goes to the Senior Missions Trip fund. Jeans, athletic shorts, sweat pants, dresses, skirts may be worn provided they meet the knee-length requirement. Garments with “holes”, yoga pants, tight-fitting clothes, tank tops, spaghetti straps are not allowed.
 
SOCCER – Soccer starts on Monday!!  Signups for LCA Soccer are open. Practices and Games will run from late August to Mid- October. We will have teams for PK - 7th grades. We also will be continuing our Student Coaching Program this year for students in 8th - 12th grades interested in coaching. Players and student coaches please follow this link to sign up:

TRACK TEAM – Our athletic association is starting a cross country team.  If any 7th – 12th graders are interested in joining or if a parent is interested in coaching, please reply to this email by Wednesday, the 31st.

UNIFIED DRESS CODE REMINDER – Per our handbook, skirts and shorts must come to the knee.  Please check your student’s skirts and shorts to be sure they are in dress code.  The only exception is gym shorts for PE that may be 3 inches above the knee.
