Yearbook – Please see the attached order form for this year’s Talon, yearbook.  A copy of this form was also sent home with your child.

Field Day for PreK – 6th Grades will be Tuesday, May 21st, starting with a picnic lunch at 11:45 AM.  The Talent Show will begin around 2:00 PM.

Just a reminder, 7th – 12th Grade Students need to complete ALL service hours by May 21st.

7th -  11th Grade Finals – Finals for 7th – 11th grade students are Tuesday, May 21st – Thursday, May 23rd. 

·         Tuesday - students will take finals for their 3rd, 5th, and 7th hour classes and dismiss at noon. 

·         Wednesday - students will take finals for their 2nd, 4th, and 6th hour classes and dismiss at noon

·         Thursday - students will have Chapel, take their Bible final, and complete year-end responsibilities and dismiss at noon.

If service hours have not been completed, students will need to stay after school; please pack your child a lunch.

Looking for some service hours that you can do at home?  We need a few parents to put auction thank you letters in envelopes.  Please contact Mrs. Grow if you are interested in this project. 

Another project that can be done at home is wrapping presents for the Seniors.  Again, please contact Mrs. Grow if you are able to do this project.

Work Day – Looking for a way to get those last few service hours? We are having a Work Day TOMORROW Saturday, April 13th, from 9 AM – 2 PM. Spelling Bee – Congratulations to our 1st Annual Spelling Bee Contest winners!  Ryder Carlisle won 1st place and Zeke Saufnauer won 2nd place in our Elementary contest.  Hope Kassebaum won 1st place and Austin Kuehn won 2nd place in our High School contest.

Re-enrollment Begins – Re-enrollment for the 2019-2020 school year has begun.  Please see separate email for instructions on how to enroll your child(ren).

Board Position – There are open positions for the 2019-20 LCA Board.  If you are interested in serving LCA in this capacity, please contact Mrs. Wilgus by Tuesday, the 12th.

Heartgrams—The senior class will be selling Heartgrams and other Valentine related items February 4th-13th. Items may be purchased from the display across from the office on a cash and carry basis or pre-ordered using the attached Heartgram form. All deliveries will be Wednesday, February 13th.

Box Tops – The Box Top competition has begun!  The students who brought in the most this week for their class are: Kylie Fulkerson, Faith Lemons, Michael Vaclavik, Megan Pierson, Allie Brazier, Lauren Moss, Brody Kuehn, and Kassidy Butterfield.  Second Grade is still in the lead!

Joplin Tournament –If a sibling is attending the Joplin Tournament, please email or stop by the office for a Permission to be Absent form. 

Boxes – We are collecting 50 cardboard boxes shoebox size or smaller, for the auction.  If you can donate any boxes, please send them to the office.

INFORMATION TO KNOW:

Paint Night Fundraiser – We will be hosting a Paint Night Fundraiser TOMORROW. Space is still available and you can pay at the door. All proceeds will go toward the 9th – 12th Grade Family Trip to New York City.

Popcorn – The 9th – 12th Grade students going to New York City are selling popcorn as a fundraiser. Orders need to be placed by Thursday for Friday delivery. Contact Mr. Holiway to place your order (jholiway@lcaeagles.com).

7th – 12th Grade Finals – Students in 7th – 12th Grades will have Fall Semester Finals on Tuesday, December 18th – Thursday, December 20th. Students in 7th – 12th Grades ONLY will dismiss at 12 noon on Tuesday, the 18th, and Wednesday, the 19th; no student will be permitted to stay after finals, unless it has been pre-approved by the office.

FINALS SCHEDULE:

Tuesday – 2nd, 3rd, and 7th hour

Wednesday – 4th, 5th and 6th hour

Thursday – 1st hour

Dress Down for a Cause – Students may wear AHED dress on Tuesday, December 18th – Thursday, December 20th for $1 (or more) per day. All of the money collected will be given to the Arthritis Foundation.
